Bio: Jerry Yudelson has keynoted more than 100 conferences and events since 2006. He is the author of 12 books on green buildings, water conservation, green homes and green development including, 2010’s Dry Run: Preventing the Next Urban Water Crisis. He was named to the inaugural class of 34 LEED Fellows in 2011 by the U.S. Green Building Council, in recognition of his efforts to build the LEED green building rating system into the worldwide force it is today. Jerry is a co-author of the Green Operations Guide, released November 2010 by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), showing companies how to use the LEED-EBOM rating system to increase their sustainability profile. He is also the author of Greening Existing Buildings, a guide to implementing the LEED-EBOM rating system, published in 2009 by McGraw-Hill. For the USGBC, he chaired the industry’s annual conference, Greenbuild, the country’s largest, from 2004 through 2009. Jerry trained nearly 4,000 people in the LEED green building rating system from 2001 through 2009. He was one of the original LEED trainers for the USGBC and is a former USGBC Board member. His firm, Yudelson Associates, based in Tucson, offers green building consulting services, corporate and institutional sustainability planning, water management and policy consulting, LEED training and contract research services. Yudelson Associates was certified by the City of Tucson in 2010 as a green business, based on a detailed audit of its operations. Jerry is a registered professional engineer with more than 25 years’ experience. He holds engineering degrees from Caltech and Harvard University and an MBA (with highest honors) from the University of Oregon.
