Bio: Philip Rolchigo, Ph.D., was named Vice President of Technology for Pentair Water in 2007. Prior to Pentair, Dr. Rolchigo held a number of leadership roles in the industry, including serving as the Global Separation Technologies Director for General Electric, Water and Process Technologies and as the Chief Technology Officer for Osmonics, Inc. Dr. Rolchigo was a member of the Committee on Advancing Desalination Technology which contributed to the book “Desalination, A National Perspective” published by the National Research Council of the National Academy of Science. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the WateReuse Research Foundation which recently honored him with an award for outstanding service for his commitment to advancing the science of desalination and water reuse. Dr. Rolchigo received a doctorate and master’s degree in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania; a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Rochester and was an Industrial Research Affiliate in chemical engineering at MIT.
